A: MetaStar is a leader in healthcare quality improvement with a vision for optimal health for all. MetaStar's goal is to effect positive change in health and healthcare and empower healthcare professionals, community organizations, and healthcare payers to make lasting improvements with a vision of optimal health for all. The Behavioral Health (BH) Connect team is composed of MetaStar Healthcare Transformation Department members. 

A: MetaStar will facilitate improvements related to health information technology (IT), assist organizations in understanding health IT solutions, assist organizations with security risk assessment (SRA), and understand risk mitigation plans. MetaStar's role is not to audit any agency and will not report SRA findings or identified risks to external organizations or reporting entities. MetaStar does not require organizations to take action on identified risks and vulnerabilities. However, it is highly encouraged, and the BH Connect team will provide support in developing and implementing a risk mitigation plan.

A: The timeline of the project is 3-5 years. Participation on the platform is completely optional and flexible based on your needs and schedule.

A: All services are funded by the Wisconsin Department of Health Servies (DHS) with no cost to the organizations receiving assistance from the BH Connect team.

A: Services are available for all Wisconsin county-based and Medicaid-enrolled behavioral health providers and organizations.

A: Assistance services available include implementing, optimizing, and improving an electronic health record and health information technology. Interested organizations can complete a needs assessment and develop a work plan based on the organization's results, priorities, and goals.

Participants will also have access to an SRA tool and develop a mitigation plan with our team. All organizations have access to the BH Connect Online Community which provides resources, training, and the opportunity to connect with peers.
