September is National Suicide Prevention Month, a time to raise awareness, foster understanding, and support those dealing with suicidal thoughts or behaviors.

Quick Facts from 2022:

  • 49,449 people lost their lives to suicide (10,194 women and 39,255 men).
  • The 25-44 age group had the highest number of deaths, with 16,843 lives lost.

This month and always, let's unite to:

  • Support and show compassion to those who may be struggling.
  • Learn and share the warning signs of suicide and how to help.
  • Advocate for accessible mental health resources and services.
  • Promote self-care and resilience, stressing the importance of seeking help when needed.
