Improving Tobacco Care Through Integration: A Collaborative Webinar with UW-CTRI

This webinar will increase awareness of tobacco-related disparities among individuals with behavioral health conditions, highlight the importance of tobacco screening during intake, and review practical strategies for integrating tobacco treatment – including quitline referrals – into electronic health record (EHR) workflows. Participants will also learn how the UW-Center for Tobacco Research and Intervention (UW-CTRI), supports health systems and community partners, and will be connected to tools and resources to support tobacco treatment implementation. 

Objectives:  

  • Understand how tobacco use can impact mental health and substance use disorder treatment outcomes. 
  • Apply best practices for integrating tobacco screening and treatment, including quit line referrals, into the behavioral health electronic health record. 
  • Learn about UW-CTRI tools, resources, and technical assistance support to integrate tobacco screening and treatment in behavioral health settings.
